10/27/2007 - Action Pistol Shoots ... Top Gun Awards
This year the ISC is holding 21 shoots at the pistol and rifle ranges. Twelve (12) of those shoots are Action Pistol Shoots, which are held each month. Recently we decided that we would put together a "Match Points Earned" program, and it will be something we hope to carry forward into the years to come. This program will reward the top shooters, or "Top Guns" in each of the five (5) available divisions (Limited, Limited 10, Open, Production, Revolver) with a trophy for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. The guidelines were simple ... each shooter earns points at each Action Pistol Shoot they attend. The "Match Points Earned" program requires that each shooter attend a minimum of five (5) Action Pistol Shoots to be eligible, in one or multiple divisions. Also, only the top five (5) scores will be used to determine the shooters total "Point Status" in all divisions they participate in.. The top three (3) shooters will take 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place trophy's, which will be awarded soon after the last shoot of the year.

That's right ... we now have a 5-Stand Field up and running!!! Thanks to the tireless efforts of Larry Brooks and many helpers, they have successfully opened the NEW 5-STAND Field. Thanks to the design of this field, and a variety of target machines, the course can be changed in a matter of minutes. Complete with heated warm-up house and an impressive lighting system which makes night shooting something that just has to be tried!
The 5-Stand Field is open Friday nights (5:00-8:00PM) and Saturdays/Sundays (1:00-4:00PM).
ALL shotgun shooters will find this course exciting and challenging!

Shotgun shooters ... check this out!!!
Do you like shooting 5-Stand??? How about Trap and/or Skeet??? Then come and join the fun!!!

08/14/08 - A 5-Stand Thank You!!!
The 5 Stand Field needed some work done to protect traps, seal some wood and improve the overall appearance. E-Mails were sent out asking for volunteers and we were certainly not disappointed.
Within a week our task list was complete. Two fences to protect Traps 5 and 6 were built by Carmine Lombardy and Arthur Robicheau, stained and put in place. The 5 shooting stands were stained with the help of Bob Butters, Dick Wall, Bob Shelton and of course Charlie. All the trap platforms were stained and even the picnic tables were done. Thanks to the help of our volunteers we can truly say that the 5 Stand Field is now a GREEN field. This won’t help shooters hit more targets but the field sure looks much better!
The 5 Stand Crew thanks the volunteers and also all the shooters who have supported us.
09/07/2008 - 5-Stand Field CLOSED for 3 days (Sept 12,13,14)
Please be advised that there will no 5-Stand shooting available at the club from 9/12 through 9/14.
The club will be hosting a Registered Skeet Shoot on Sunday 9/14 and the 5-Stand field will need to be returned to use as a Skeet field during the registered shoot. Work on changing the 5-Stand field will begin on 9/12.
Also note that there are a significant number of shooters pre-registered for the 9/14 shoot .. so it is unlikely that the three Skeet fields will be available on 9/14 for anyone other than registered shooters.

By December of 2007, after an update & expansion effort, our club website had grown to 27 pages, and was beginning to catch people's attention.
Now in July of 2009, our club website has hit a major milestone! Since the expansion effort began back in September of 2007, we have now had our 10,000th visitor to our website!!! During the past 22 months, our club website has averaged over 100 visits per week, has now grown to 66 pages, and 348 files are now available (scores, pictures, announcements, etc).
08/04/2009 - A Very Sad Sad Day for Our Club!
Most of you know by now. We have lost our friend, fellow shooting enthusiast and the man who worked harder than any of us to make sure the club was always open for us to enjoy. Rain or shine, it never mattered, Charlie was always ready.
Both Charlie and his wife were killed in a tragic car accident last Thursday (07/30/09) in Cumberland RI.
I wish I had a way to put into words how much he meant to the club and how much we appreciated him, all he did. We will miss him a great deal.
